Cheap place to rent a car in Grand Rapids, or Comstock Park?
The 4.10s in my car decided to let a few teeth go, and I'm stuck with a "downed" car right now. dreamer1q is currently helping me find a new gear set, but it will be at least Thursday until my car is back on the road. I don't have a problem with that - its just that my g.f drives the car mostly to get back and forth to work. Currently, I am leaving work for hours taking her to work, and bringing her home.
She just started a new job and cannot be late, and or miss a day. My Boss was cool with me taking most of the day off today to run my g.f around, but I don't think she'll be smiling after 3 days.
I'm looking to rent a car in Comstock Park (49321), but dear god is it expensive. Its from $129, to $170 for an inexpensive geo metro type thing. I'm not picky, but man that seems like a lot for that car. I'm looking for like $15 bucks a day.
Can anyone help a brother out?
I've tried using google, and looking for car rental place, but everyone listed is still to high:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q="car+rentals"
If anyone knows a good deal, please let me know - or Quiten, if you feel bored., and feel like driving, let me know. I'll pay for gas if it means I don't have to rent a car.
Milo.

Wish I could help ya bro. man I feel bad about this.
But I had no idea your car was going to be so troublesome. Like I said if there is anything I can do to help, let me know. If you need a ride or something, give a yell. What we should do is find the guy who did the rear end and flog him with a cane

hey, I just checked out budgets deals page. They have one for 15.99 and there is a budget at the kent county airport. If you need a ride there let me know. Heres the link, best places in GR are to be found at the airport.

Hey Quinten - I think I got it figured out.
I can take my g.f to work on my lunch - no problem for today.
Tomorrow, I just took the day off.
Thursday, if the car isn't done, I can just take her to work on my lunch again.
The car should be done on Thursday right?
Again, no rush. I'd rather have it done right and take a week, then thrown together to get the car out of his sight. Really, its no rush.
I was wondering if there was a way he could install my tranny mount and my drive shaft loop for me. If I get the car back Thursday night, I will have one day before M7 - its pushing it kind of close. I still need to practice my launches with the new gear. I could give him like $20 bucks or so...but I'm tapped for cash right now.
Let me know if he's up to it.
OH - there are some bolts in the bag with the oil, they are for the TA cover. We didn't install them because the gear was broken, but please make sure he installs them for me. Thanks soooo much!
Milo.

Honestly, I dont think he will be up to it. He is kinda bothered about this, cuz he has spent two days under it and its still not done. Its not your fault or mine, and he is cool with it, but he wants it done. Not a big deal, but I will make sure the cover is put on with those bolts. Sorry to see you take a day off, did you call on those cars? Just curious if those were real prices or not?
Honestly I dont think I will have time before then. I have to go to a refiance meeting tonight, I have my son tomorrow, a reality meeting for my real estate job thursday, and friday is busy too. You are going to be able to run without the stuff if you have to. Stuff isnt that hard to do, you can probably pull it off in your driveway with a few wrenchs and a jack. Wish I could help buddy, but I am slammed right now.

Which I feel terrible about, but it will all be better when I see the look on your face the first time you drive it
