BF1942: w00t!!

After a clean install of WinXP, I finally got it working. First impression: OMG! I thought MOH:AA was awesome, and this game blows it out of the water!

Couple of questions: How much of a difference does a joystick make for flying? If its a big difference, what joysticks are reccomended? What patches should I install? What mods/maps/expansions are must haves for even better gaming?

This is so cool! I'm a natural tank driver!

A joystick is a must have for flying. I would recommend one with a twist handle for rudder control. I have the Logitech Wingman Extreme digital 3D, it has a nice weighted base so it doesn't slide around and it has 7 buttons on the unit to map all kinds of stuff to.

a joystick is a must, any will work, just make sure it has 3d rotation, on the x,y, and z axis's

also, for maps, download coral sea, everyone plays it, it's probably one of the most popular maps out.

two carriers, unlimited planes, lots of dogfighting!

I installed this mod and now my sound doesn't work very well with my digital headphones. I am going to try and uninstall and reinstall and see if it fixes it.
