Where would be the best place to get LT headers, Y pipe and a good LT1 tune done in the Muskegon, Grand Rapids area? Thanks in advance, and if everyone says "Do it Yourself" just to let you know, i'm no mechanic, i am willing to pay to get it all done.

 

You buy the headers and Y pipe, and I can install them, for a fee of course. Those are the suck to install, but I have done a few sets As for the tune, you can either drive to Chicago or Detroit, thats it. No options for shops in the GR area that will do a LT1, at least not do it well anyway.

 

yea LTs on LT1 suck to do. I would say i could install 3 sets of ls1 headers in the time of 1 set of lt1s. There is a couple of places over here that do a good job with tuneing.

 

when i get the LT's and new Y-pipe installed, should i get new plugs and wires at the same time? would that be the easiest way to get them changed?

yea, look at the taylor OVCs they look cool and keep the wires away form the headers.

 

nobody around to tune on the west side. I keep trying to to get some people to start a shop so there IS something on the west side, but there just doesn't seem to be interest. guess we'll just leave all the fast cars to the east side

 

Its not for lack of interest, its more your lack of experiance that scares me away. Until you present me with a engineering degree or you build a car that takes my breath away, I wouldnt let you tune my car professionally. If I wont, why would anyone else. Thus my lack of enthuasiam. I dont like putting money into an investment I dont believe will live to begin with. Just being honest. But this is another thread.

Never said anything about me tuning a car. said I wanted to open a shop. tuners can be hired or trained. I showed you where to get the training, remember? Dan Burk is probably going to go through it here shortly.

for what you need done, I believe even Mikie could tune it without screwing it up too bad Otherwise there are a few good tuners that can do it for you via mailorder. Just tell them what you have and load it when it comes via e-mail. You just need to find someone with Tunercat to load it for you.
