Adjusting ls1 clutch?

My buddy just got a 2000 WS6 with 17,000 miles on it and his clutch feels much shorter than mine and it starts grabbing right off the floor board. On the other hand mine starts grabbing 3 to 4 inches off the floor board.
I like the feel of his trans am beater than i do on my car. Has his clutch been adjusted or is mine just messed up?
If it can be adjusted how do you do it?

You need an adjustable master cylinder to change the point where the clutch engages in the travel of the clutch pedal.
