Z06 Clutch in 01 SS?

I heard at the track last night that you can take a stock Z06 Vette clutch and pressure plate and put it in my 2001 Camaro SS M6...

Seeing as how the clutch in there is fried and I dont want to go with a crappy stock clutch that came in the SS, WOULD I be able to do this?? just get a clutch setup from a Z06 and put it in??

Please let me know, either that or waht a decent aftermarket clutch is that isnt going to cost me 800 some dollars.

Is your car stock or modified? How often do you go to the track? On a stock vehicle the stock clutch should last awhile...

Stock 'cept for ported MAFs, SLP LT's, 3" Y, 3" flowmaster catback.

So yah pretty much stock, should not have had enough power to F up the rear end OR the clutch, but... Oh yeah.. track 1-2 tmes a month, and launch at 1300-1500rpm... never any higher (STREET tires only)
