I'm planning to move back to central/western NY sometime in the near future and was wondering what the emission requirements are. There's no vehicle inspection in Michigan so I'm not sure how my seven year old ride would do. Right now I'm running with a MAC off road pipe, what tests do they do, do they check for cats, air pumps egr etc...?
Basically, what kind of mods can you safely get away with?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

 

Around here they check for cats, and air pump....no actual emissions testing...
