I agree, I keep telling myself I need to get out and meet some of you guys and I think I might have seen a few of you on the road in passing over the past few years...

But for some reason or another my car is never road worthy when things are scheduled...

Hey where did you get your TR55's? I just realized I forgot to order them, does any place local sell them? I will be running out to pepboys and my local speed shop this moring to see if I can track them down, but I don't want to spend too long looking because I still want to beat you to the finish even if that doesn't included new plugs...

Re: This weekends project

I found the plugs at a local speed shop, because pepboys didn't have them... I got started today at about 11:30 and had the headers in by 3:30, took the rest of the day to put everything under the hood back together including plugs, wires, tie wrapping everything away from the headers, readjust the rockers, change the oil, fabricate my own egr blockoff plates...

Fired it up by 8:00 , all I can say is open headers are bada$$, the wife thought it would be super loud but it wasn't she said she could feel the rumble in her chest, but it wasn't loud it was mean...

Then I cleaned up and got dinner...

Y-Pipe and exhaust tomorrow though, but then the test drive...

Re: This weekends project

That's a bummer. So close and yet so far...
I hope you can figure out a work around for it. The MAC's that I installed went through without any probs. You bad boys with long tube...

Re: This weekends project

I did the install anyhow, just to see how bad it would be...

I hits the floorboard somethimes, and rattles a little but not bad enough for me not the take it out for a few spins around the area...

Traction is harder to maintain now though.

You need to do one of those big smokey burnouts first...

Glad to hear that you got it completed.

Ah, yep!!!. I had the side bracket, but they haven't been on for awhile since I had to keep tightening the header bolts and the side mount brackets were screwing me over. But yours do look nice.

Hey! I saw spark plugs!!!

Re: This weekends project

1SlowFormula, how ya making out man?? get those problems solved?

mine is all done, 3" Ypipe w/ Carsound cat installed and I love it. it's sounds ALOT cleaner than my car used to be (I hated all the popping/backfiring the stock manifolds produced w/ the Borla). Best of all, the free flowing rev's is such a huge difference along with the top end power

I'll have to get some pics of the Ypipe
