This weekends project

Getting these out of the house and into the car

The job consists of Pacesetter LT's, ORY, Dynomax Bullet and turndown...

I have all the band clamps, O2 extenders, and misc stuff now I just need to finish work for the day and get to the install...

The only thing I am missing is a piece of 3" tubing that will extend the turndown out a little further behind the rear seats, that and I didn't realize the pipes on both the muffler and turndown will already be flaired to go over a std 3" pipe.

Mine job from start to finish was 21 hours. One stripped header bolt, and then forgetting to put the oil dip stick back on at the right time...

Good luck to ya both.

OK then it is a race...

Oh yeah invest in bandaids or this newskin stuff my wife has, I have read a lot of post with people making those comments and now I know why... All I wanted to do tonight was put it up on jackstands, spray the bolts with WD40, and remove the catback, guess what about a hour into it I had to stop and get medical treatment from the wife, this is how it looked afer she cleaned it up. All I remeber was using a screwdriver to pry real hard on the stock catback when the screw driver broke loose and I was laid out and couldn't see through the blood in my eyes. Oh and I didn't even get my list of objectives done for the night and I have a hell of a headache...

I guess I get to spray the bolts in the morning before I finish taking the stock catback out.

OK, so that's a little over an hour and a half on the clock for me so far, and no real progress...

Looking good... just a misskeetto bite.

Might want to consider wearing some eye protection, eh?

Re: This weekends project

well my dad took my car over to his work at 8pm, Jacked the car up pretty high and dropped the Borla ypipe i had on there and he soaked the manifold bolts down with PB blaster.I met him there at 9pm after i was done work, with him working on passenger side and me working on driver side manifold, both were off and ready for header install by 11:00pm..
one bolt on the passenger side (very back one) broke..I think it's been broke for some time now cause the bolt that came out wasnt evrn shiny were it broke, therfore it's been broke for while and got dirty. But there is two holes towards the back and ithink the header uses the hole which the broken bolt is not in... Only one way to find out, tommrow morning..

So I basically have 3hrs in the install already, rest will get done Sat/sunday

Re: This weekends project

My MACs, used the outter most set of the end bolts holes whereas the stock manifolds used the inner set. Part of the reason of a few gasket blowouts.

We all have to meet up somewhere for an exhaust sound off. Maybe hOOters in Bensalem, or that car gathering across the street from ryan...

Re: This weekends project

Well crap your definitly going to beat me to the finish, I am working by myself and my wife grabs a few tools for me when she comes outside every once in a while...

Plus I am doing it under my carport, and was getting rained on a little last night

OK enough complaining, My headache feels better and I am going to jump on this thing a little later today and see how hard it actually is, I was hoping to have it wrapped up today, but only time will tell...

That race is on and you have a good lead, congrats...
