thinking about getting a new trailer

So Liz and I have ben talking. If we move into a new house that only has a 1 car garage I am going to need more storage space. A LOT more space. So I ran the idea of an enclosed trailer across her and she said just get it if I think I need it.

It kind of depends on what we buy for a new house. If it has the room I might get one. If it doesn't have the room for a trailer it will at the minimum have a 2 car garage so... I probably wont want the trailer.

So, I'm not really out to get one imediately. But if I just happen to stumble across a 24' enclosed trailer that will suit my needs and it is the right price I might be willing to buy it.

So all my local buddies need to keep an eye out for me. If you happen to drive past a trailer at some guys house and its got a FS sing on it I would appreciate you just stopping by to grab a phone number and a price for me

Will do.

Especially since I sense a G.O.O.F may occur.... I'm thinking of a trailer.

Ahhh, but I may have to throw a monkey wrench into it here. A very good friend of mine already has dibs if I sell it. Since it has the tiny little 10,000 lb axles on it he loves to borrow it and haul his tractors around with it. Oh yeah, his big azz John Deere tractors from his farm.

Depends on the trailer

Honestly I always shot for the same price when buying something... I look to have it given to me for free, but that has yet to happen...

But seriously just depends on teh trailer. I dont want to spen 10k on a decked out 28 footer, but I dont want a 20 either. I'm just keeping my eyes open for a 24 that is clean and does not have anything in it. No benches, tool boxes, ect. I only would like to have some lights and maybe a pull out canopy on the side. But if I stumble across one that has nothing I can add the lights myself. Looking to spend in the 5k range. Just depends on the trailer weather or not I spend more or less.

Brian,

Are you still looking?

I guy I race with is selling his 24' Pace Shadow GT, and he is looking to get about 6500 for it, I would buy it if I had the money but saw this and figured I'd let you know about it...

here are the pics he sent me, but I have also seen it in persons since he pitted 2 cars over from me at our last event a few months back...

John, still keeping my eyes open but I'm not in a huge hurry. We just put an off in on a house that has a 2 car garage. If we can work out a deal then I will not need a trailer. That trailer is perfect. Exactly what I am looking for. I'll let you know but we are hopefull that this deal on the house with the 2 car garage will work out.

Good luck with the house, you've got more ***** then me in this market, I wouldn't have the issue buying the new house but unloading the old one is where a lot of guys are getting bit around here... I know of a few people that had to just file for bankruptcy because they bought a new house last year, and were not able to sell their old one and had 2 mortgages for over a year...

Well they are an extreme case since the house they were trying to sell was new construction that they bought for 500K 5 years ago and since the market went down the builder has been lowering the cost of the new houses in the neighborhood so you can get a brand new on with more upgrades then their house for 370ish or thiers that was lived in for 4 years for 450, when they owe soo much more then that still but that was the best they could do to try and sell it...

well we are ok I think. I explained to the realtor that there was not a chance in hell I would move on another house unless our house sold first. We put it up last week and its under contract already. We got within 5000 of our original asking price too. Its a contingent offer but the buyer has to unload a town house. They tend to sell easier since most buyers for them are not contingent and are first time buyers.

I'm gonna need luck though. We are offering 60k less then what the sellers want for the house. But its been on the market for 8 months and they are also holding 2 payments.

now I'm in trouble... just got an email from my agent. Our buyer wants to settle asap and is willing to go non contingent to do so. We need to buy a house asap now.

Well this is good news since now you have the sale, of yours behind you but I would not change your offer on the house you are buying to drop the contingency because just in case something falls through with your buyer you are not on the hook for 2 mortgages...

The down fall here is that you may have to be without a house for a little while depending on how things line up, and that sucks. Been there done that, it one of those things where you have to rent storage space and live out of suitcases for a week or so until you settle on the one you are buying since your buyer wants to move that fast. But this shouldn't have to happen to you since the one your putting the offer in on is in a double mortgage situation, just hope they take the offer. My fingers are crossed for you...

well I just got some details. He wanted to settle by the end of this month... my agent told him no way. Not going to happen. First of all he couldnt get the morgtage set up in time and we would never pull it off with Christmas and new years. My agent put in the contract that we must have sutible housing before we will allow a settlement date to be set.

I told her that I am not going to be the one out on the street here. He will have to wait.

I think he also is trying to get the tax write off for 07 with closing costs and what not. We will just have to wait and see. I'll let ya know.
