NJ turnpike exit between exit 6 and 7? (Northbound side) Thats the only spot i can think of off the top of my head that would hold a lot of camaros.

If we meet on the tpk we usually meet at the woodrow wilson rest stop. Its the first rest stop after exit 6. Its just past exit 7 I belive.

SLP day gets very busy very quick. I know from past experience... actually I'm suprised they havent made this a full weekend event yet. Gates open at 9. I would like to be sitting at them by 7:30-8:00. So we would have to meet 30-60min before that.

You guys still up for it. I was planning on leaving my house by 6:00. Im a little slow pulling the trailer

I'll be leaving my house at 5:15 to make the NJ rest stop before 7:00am. I'm not pulling a trailer but I'm slow too. I haven't made an SLP event in several years so I'll need help in finding the track. Shoot, I need help on the track too.

This is the first time I'll ever be running my car. Do I need to know/get anything for my first run down the strip?

You need long pants, t-shirt, and a helmet. If you run 11.99 or faster you "need" the NHRA safety stuff (roll bar, loop, fire jacket, etc). Biggest thing at E-Town is the noise level restrictions. You must run a closed exhaust. I'll be in my red 95 Formula ragtop. I plan to hit the NJ rest stop on the way to the track. If you want you can pit next to me.

Re: South Jersey Camaros Going To Slp Day

Personally I would like to be hitting the road from the rest stop by 7am. Lets make the official meet time 6:45am at the rest stop and we will leave there at 7am.

Jim, I'm not sure what the classes are but Idid take 2nd at the EFI last month. I get schooled at Atco but at least I can say I learned something form racing with the big boys.

Jim pretty much summed it up. If you dont have a helmet they do rent them at the track. But its going to be a busy day and I'm not sure how many they have to rent.

You know what I really need... I need to buy an NHRA rule book

Sounds good. I'll see ya there.

Yea, you get a quick education running points at ATCO. They make you raise the bar in a hurry.

Congrats on making it to the final round in the EFI race. I didn't do so well last time out. I lost in the 5th round on Saturday and went red round 3 on Sunday.

Sounds good. I'd like to hook up with somebody that will kind of tell me what's going on. I think I can get a helmet from a friend of mine but if I can't I suppose i can just rent one since I will be there so early with you guys. I'll be there by 6:45 (hopefully before). Do I need to pay extra for an official number or anything like that? BTW I don't think I'l be needing that 11.99 stuff
