Where did you get canned? where in jersey?

I was doing 77 in a 45, and got off with just a big fine. Get a lawyer, which you got, so you are set.

I wouldn't worry

Don't sweat it, my friend got pulled over racing me in his black '98 Z28. He got nailed with 85 in a 45 and he thought he was going to lose his license as well. He went to court and the prosecutor came up to him and said "Ok I can give you 65 in a 45, sound good?" And he took that with 4 pts and a $500 fine. Then he went to the driver's ed course they offer and they dropped 2 pts. So just go to court and see if they can up your fine and get rid of the points, that's my suggestion. Other than that seek legal advice.

You got a lawyer rite? Good luck. Dobl the speed limit was always the rule to loose your licence for 6mo in NJ. It all depends on the judge & the lawyer.

Stupid question... Why not race at the track?

I should have went to the track but it was a spur of the moment kinda race. Before we raced the mustang was cutting me off and brake checking me for no reason. So he was pissing me off and i just wanted to put an end to it so we pulled up to the red light and as soon as it turned green we raced. Little did i know there were two cops sitting in a parking lot talking to each other and by that time i was doing almost 95 but as soon as i saw the cops i slamed on my brakes. So we both get pulled over and get tickets. I leared my lesson and will never street race again. My girlfriend wants me going to make buisness cards and if anyone wants to race me i will give them a card and tell them to meet me at englishtown. I hope that answers your question.

Thats about the best thing you can do... As long as they know you have learned a lesson, chances are that your lawyer can get you off with just a fine and you wont loose your DL.

Thumbs up still have it

Just to let everyone know i just got back from court and the lawyer got the charges droped from 86 in a 40 to 70 in a 40. So i still have my license. I did get a 300 dollar fine and 4pts but i can still drive . So learn from me an dont be stupid and street race(especially mustangs ) Thanks for all of the advice.
