Problems with new SS3600 Torky converter...

Drove the 97 TA in this morning. Might need to adjust the cable again. Car seems to only have two speeds now. "Go!!!" and "Launch". What a pain in the azz. And that damn tire squeak is back with a vegeance if I give any amount of throttle. Dang it!!! Someone mentioned to try WD40 on the tires to see if that would help with the screeching. Might try that later on...

oh, btw, thanks Pampered-z.

Hummm, I guess we going to need to do a few things:

1) Looking in Mod-Father's parts bin! He busy changing diapers, we can go steel his LCAs and such. We just paint your stock parts red and put them on his car,,,,, he'll never know!

2) If you only drive in the rain the tires probably would squeal as bad.

3) You can't leave from a dead stop to easy, you have to just mash the peddle. This will keep the wheel speed up and the traction down, that will prevent squealing as well.

4) Remove the winshield washed hoses and route then to the back tires, then fill the resisviour with VHT. Then every time you come to a stop just spray it down as you coast to a stop.

heheh, I'm thinking #1 might be a real option in the near future I have a set of Spohn poly/poly LCA's and I want double adjustable rod end LCA's. If I can manage to sell off a few stock parts I have laying around I might order a set.

Glad to hear your having fun with it Ron! Thats what its all about isn't it?

Dang right, Bud!!!!

I think the "serious" answer is that I may have to put your SS rims w DRs on permanently... but that would take some of the "sideways...whoops" out of the "GO!!!" and "Launch".

we use to do that in the "old days" using a tank/pump mounted in the truck. also using a clorox + water mixure to add to the smokey burnout at cruise nights too.

opps, probably shouldn't give Ron any ideas!

I wan't so 'phisticated back then. We just poured bleach before the school speed bump located on the hill going up to the high school....

See... didn't take long for you guys to make this complicated.

List:
2 cannisters
2 pumps
2 switches
4 nozzles
tubing....

one for the VHT system the other for the burnout system...

too bad "someone" forgot to put the air pump back on the car when they were doing the cam. Could have used that to pressurize the cannisters for flow. bahahahhaha
