Anybody? Someone who knows about this stuff? I have this alarm that I got my wife for a yr now but never had the chance to install it. Got it from Pepboys, it even has the remote start. I am just trying to find a good place or someone with a good deal to install it.

Anthony... If I wasnt so darn busy right now id give ya a hand. But with the garage going up I just dont have the time. Me being on light duty at work with a messed up knee isnt helping either. Alarms aren't hard to install, it should have come with directions. All you really need is to know what wires to tap into. A Haines or Chilton manual works well for the price. BTW... its not a fun job to do in the winter.

 

Sorry to hear about your knee bro? What hapen? And how is the garage going? Cant wait to see that beast.
Anyway I am not in a rush now to put the alarm on cause winter is about gone, so if you want we can put it on around spring when its warmer wich would also be better for cold beer too!. I have tryed to find a manual before for the 97 Grand am but just cant find one.
The alarm does come with the directions, but I am kinda scared with them wires.
Anyway let me know what you think, and if we could work out a deal.

Wensday when we had the snow is when I got hurt. I was working at Einstein Hospital, got there about 1pm. The generator has a wooden deck built around it and it was covered with snow. I decided to clean off the snow before I began working on it so I went into the Chiller plant and found a broom. Started sweeping the snow off and 2 min later I lost it and slipped. I didnt really fall completely, but I did what I call the old Balarina(sp?) dance. My left foot just went out to the side and Itwisted it, banged my knee against the enclosure. The x-ray's came back negative but its still sore. Not as bad now but the Doc say's I did 1 of 2 things. Simplest being I just sprained it, worst case is I partially tore a ligament. I can walk ok, just with a little limp. Cant go up and down stairs/ladders. So I'm on "sitting duty" at work till the 10th. If its feeling better by then we call it a sprain. If it still hurts then I have to start phisical therapy. Time will tell.

Construction starts tomorrow. the building will be up by the end of the week. Then I can start on the electrical work and the floor. Should be ready to park a car in by end of march.

If you can wait till I have the time bro I'm sure we can work something out and get the alarm in for her. Its not a real big deal. I have installed alarms before, and I have all the stuff to do it. If you dont get it installed before I can get to it, remind me later and we will work out a deal.

 

I know what you mean bro! Im a pro on that. I use to get it ones or twice a year from basket ball untill I found out I totaly torn my ligament. My doc said that the only way to get it fixed is by the knife. But he also said I dont really need it since I am not on a profesional player by playing everyday. Anyway now if I play I play safe with my ancle rapt up. I had the X-rays too to see if it was broken, my foot would actualy not even fit in a adjustible sliper eather! And ofcource I walked around with a cain like an old dog if it was really bad. But anyway you should be In full swing in about a month.
You probably cant wait to see that garage done hu! I will try to
swing by one day after its done to check it out.
And yea, I will most likely wait for ya, cause I got kind of fed up trying to find a place to put it on. Did I tell ya this one place Autodogs in Haddon wanted $300 just to install it on a $200 alarm from Pepboys! Is that right $?
