My brother just went to Rapid Motorsports and he was very happy with them.

Yeah...go see Mikey @ Rapid Motorsports. He is near Philly, PA and definetly knows his ****! His shop is his home garage; therefore, he has little overhead. Since his overhead is minimal, his labor is very FAIR. I drove 400+ miles and over 7 hours to get there. He treated me extremely well and my SS also. He thinks of customer cars as he does his own.

The LE is on the list for a new cam, springs, headers, off road pipes, GMMG exhaust, underdrive pulley, and tuning. The goal is 400 rwhp. But, as of yet, I have not starting over to Rapid Motor Sports. A slight mix up in scheduling, I hope to resolve quickly.

Anyway, I will still ask Mikey about your LT1.

Regards,
Glenn

Yes,
Mikey is doing all the work. I just don't have the time. And if you saw him gut and restuff an LS1, you would understand why everyone respects him. He knows his stuff and he is reasonably priced....well as reasonable as a mechanic/tuner can be. LOL

Update, my appointment has been rescheduled to 5/27/04. I'll post some #s when i get them.

400RWHP in an 02 LS1 w/M6 will be no problem with Mikey doing it! Hitting 400+ RWHP with just a cam and bolt-ons is pretty much the norm now. Look at his latest SS...500+RWHP with a H/C package. I don't know about wasting the cash on the pulley though!

Well, I didn't do so good. I went with Mike's custom grind DM1 and a pair of FLP headers/off road pipes. I did connect the original SLP 345 hp performance Center Mount exhaust sytem. I know I need to replace that with the GMMG closed chambered system that I have been polishing.

The results... 373 RWHP. The engine has only 400 miles on her and she was leaking air like a $2 pool floaty. Mike thinks it should seal up later. I know I should be happy with a pretty big improvement over stock. But when you got your heart set on 400... well you know the rest. we are hoping for maybe 5 more ponies with the exhaust swap.
