well you didnt give much time for people to respond. on top of that this northeastern section doesnt get as much traffic so you wont get any big response for like a day. If your interested in meets look at a thread called "big event idea" a little further down and log on to www.epfba.org. That site has a lot of f-bodies from our area and there are tons of meets

calm down there bro... we have gatherings all the time that are organized right here in this fourm. Atleast once a year we end up with a fairly large get together. But its March and there ais 3 inches of snow on the ground...

It happens alot. Why not just join the club we already have? We all meet right here in this fourm and we are the NE section of CZ28.com.

Just hang in there, summer is on the way and you can hang out with people from this board all the time then

Sorry I don't have time to join yet another car club. Between key strokes I campain my firebird. I'm out showing my face on the dragstrip every weekend March thur November. Home today typing due to the 3" of snow. Most here put the cars away for the winter and should be out in 2 - 3 weeks. Chill out because people do meet for drinks and nice weather cruises. Except for me I only type and race.

This fourm is actually a pretty close group of people. We do ocasionally meet up and hang out, or go to the track together, and help each other work on our cars.

You have to understand... we see 10 people a year come on here and ask if anyone wants to start a new club... The simple answer is no. There are already several well established clubs that many "peeps" from here are already members of. This fourm is just a friendly hang out spot for all of us. We have an unofficial club called the CZ28 NE fourm club. We socialize with people from NJ, NY, PA, DE, MD and OH... Many of us have been here for years.

So when you come on here and make a rude comment like you did, people get defensive.

A simple "hi my name is xxxx and here is my car." "do you guys have meets or want to organize one?" would get more people to respond...

So welcome to the board. If you want to have a meet, then start planning one. We are high class here though. We dont like to just meet in a mall parking lot, we prefer to meet in a state or national park and organize a cookout and tourment the park rangers

Sorry, But if your trying to make friends and get a club or gatherings started you going about it the wrong way! Give you post some time.

I understand your new here and anxious to get something going, buy please understand that people try to start a local car club every few months and the facts are there are allot of local clubs aready and most people belong to allot of them already and there is plenty going on. Folks just get tired of replying to "How about we start a local car club" when there are good ones in the area already. Also, this time of year getting cars to places is tuff. Most of us have out cars parked away for winter or our cars are in pieces as we're still doing winter mods. Give it a few more weeks. Later April is when the F-bodies normally start to come out of hibernation.

I would suggest that if you want to plan a meet in your area to find a place that has a place we can park away from the masses, and has food or something. Post the idea weeks in advance and then people will start repling and the word will get spread to the other boards.

We haven't done a Newhope/Lambertville event. We tried to have one at Bowmen's Tower a few years back but the park had too many rules and wanted insurance. We do hit Tyler state park about once a year.

The Central Jersey crew also goes to Flemmington on occasion. We hit hOOters on occasion and will go on the Thursday night cruises. Each local club has a monthly meeting on a weekend, and the CJCFO/NJFBOA meet 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Mercerville/Haminton area. Then there are always the mod parties, but most of the big mod partys are happening more in Central PA with the MorotCity/Street Lethal group.

So as you can see, it is going to be hard to start another club when we all belong to all of local clubs already. It's not that we don't like your ideas about a club, but it just seems that for the most part we have the same people in all the local F-body clubs.
