New best at D42 tonight

Well I'm slowly making it towards the 11s. The car has got it in it but I'm limited by how hard I can launch the car until I get a 12-bolt or 9". Tonights best was:

60ft - 1.918
330ft - 5.251
1/8 ET - 7.987
1/8mph - 90.88
1000' - 10.305
1/4 ET - 12.290
1/4mph - 115.98

My best 60ft was 1.852 and 1/8 ET was 7.952 however on that run I ended up with 12.298 @ 115.11mph.

The place was a ghost town tonight so I got in over 20 runs while having periodic "cool down" breaks. I also learnt alot about where to shift gears by my 1/4 mph. I got my best mph (115.98) by shifting into 2nd and 3rd @ 6000rpm and shifting into 4th at 6600rpm.

My car ran lean on the dyno and I need to fix that ASAP. When shifting gears I get a fire ball out my LH tailpipe.

Waswa- Thats freaking saweet.... when you joining us (Scorpion Racing)! You will be in the 11s without a problem when you can launch. What tires did you use on that run? BTW, I am getting my torque arm very soon and I want to return your stock one so you have an extra. I really appreciate you loaning it to me. I want to get a torq arm that mounts the front of the torque arm to a cross brace, rather then to the trans' tailshaft. I am looking at a Spohn unit right now. If I decide to go with a true dual exhaust set-up then I will get a MADMAN torq arm. Madman's is the BEST hands down but he only has it for a car w/ true dual exhaust. He will fab one for me for use with a catback exhaust BUT he needs to fab it on the car. Considering he is in TEXAS, thats not possible. I am not driving to TEXAS just to have a torq arm made. I am going to drive to Stainless Works to see about a dual exhaust set-up.

Damn, that is sweet, you will be there soon enough. Man I really need to start modding. My car is so slow.

Now my head unit went out and I have to decide, new head unit or converter.

This freaking sucks. My buddy now comes over today with his Harley. I want one of those too. I also need a dirtbike and a house. Chit. Well I just got an interest free credit card until 8/04. Charge here I come. Now just to make the money to pay for it at that time. Think I might splurge when Summit has their sale June 7th and get a cam and accessories.

Waswa, I just bought a MAF Translator to play with. If you want to see if it will help you any, let me know? The guys at the dyno shop would probably let you come up to let me figure it out being that you really should not use a MAF translator with an aftermarket MAF, which I have. So I need a test car, preferably a M6.

I bought it because it was so cheap, I could not pass it up.

Let me know.

And congrats on the times, that is killer.

Rob, ScottZ from here works there and said that June 7th they are having a 10% off sale. I think I might just have to get a cam and accessories.

I went to their online site and saw the post for their show, Super Summit XI for June 7th but saw nothing posted about a sale.

You coming out tonight to Hardees? I know Todd L is bringing his 69 out if he got all the bugs worked out, a 383 w/450 hp.

I'll take you up on your offer for the MAF translator. I had thought about buying one for a while but I wasn't sure if it would help me any.
