New best at Atco....

Great day at the Atco rental. 24 runs in. Could have had four or five times as many, but needed to give the car a break...

Car is now well established in 12.2x's.

Two best times:
60' 1.702
1/4 12.204
mph 110.17

60' 1.712
1/4 12.205
mph 110.61

Most pleased with the times.

Runs pretty good for a little ol LT1 . I got that text while I was sitting in class here in Il. I started giggling sitting there. Great job Ron wish I could have been there.

So whats next to get to 11.xx out of it? I know that thought has crossed your mind

Considering that I was .3 from 11's, I think it will be "easy" to get there. I am still running a full stock weight package; spare tire (car), jack, full CD selection, backseat, ashtray, etc etc etc.

Pretty sure if I replaced the 3:42's with 3:73's would be a help, just not sure what the traction issue would be. None with the 3:42's and the MT drag radials at 18psi. Maybe a TB and MAF upgrade from stock. Skinnies on the front. The quiet fact at the track, was the car got slightly "quicker" as the gas tank went from full to a 1/4 tank. Plus that new blue QTP sticker helped a lot...

Yeah, the 11's crossed my mind for a brief moment. But after a few runs, I knew I was at 12.2's for the day. You know how consistent that car is.
Except the time I accidently had it in "2nd" and banged the rev limiter half way down the track.

Nah, pretty happy with the low 12's for a "cam-exhaust" LT1.

Nice!

Did you play with the ECMs? How about open/closed cutout?

No PCM playing. Just started doing hot laps and, well, just thought the heck with it. Open cutout the whole time. Was looking for the best time and stuck with what would get me there. Focus more on figuring out what rpm to launch at. Seemed to like something around 1.5K.

Talked to a representative at Yank. Behind the GM847 cam and not a daily ride, it was the Super Stock 3600 that was recommended.
The match up is working great for me.

lmao...

I already have a dremmel tool. Maybe a winter project? I already ported my exhaust tips...

Actually I was thinking of getting one of those "on/off" switches in the rear sail panel. I noticed that everyone who had one was doing, like, 9's...
