I don't know who all was there. Chris, Steve, and Bobby are members. Rob we have small 3x5 inch decals (white, red, and black) that has our logo and above it says "Scorpion Racing" and below the logo says "Car Club". We use these decals for members who don't want large decals, or if someone wants to be affiliated with the group but doesn't run 14.5. We sell the 3x5 decals for $5.00 a piece for non-members. Members can get then for $3.00 each. My fiance(Kat) and I have been discussing getting some custom embroidered polo shirts or something. I can't wait till the weather really gets nice because then we can start doing stuff as a club.

I have some stuff planned this year for our Scorpion cars:
I plan to add a NX wet nitrous kit to my 99 SS. That should shoot me up to about 560RWHP! I also want to upgrade the stock 200 watt Monsoon . I want to get a CD/DVD headunit, 7 inch 16x9 LCD screen, PS2, Punch Amp, Millhouse box w/ dual 10 inch competition Rockford Fosgates, replace my front door speakers with components and replace the sail panel speakers with 6 inch rounds. Eliminate the hatch speakers, won't be able to hear them anyhow I think it would be sweet cruising down Rt 20 at 3:00am in the black SS with the t-tops off and Jenna Jameson doing it WELL! on the widescreen LoL! and in 5.1 surround

I think I am going to get a Wolfe chromemoly 6 point cage with swingout door bars, weld-in of course. I just have to do it.
I am having D&D performance rebuild my T56 and upgrade it also. A Spohn torq arm is getting installed too.

Chrome ZO6 rims will be replacing my chrome ZR1s that Steve bought off me. At first I amgoing with 17x9.5s w/ 275s all the way around. Then I will upgrade the rears to 18x10.5 w/ 295-35zr-18 BFG KD drag radials. I also want to lower it maybe 1 inch and upgrade the struts to 12 way Hals.

Also The SLP Loudmouth is going bye bye. I am replacing it with the SLP dual dual and adding 3 QTP cutouts. One in the rear, and the other two right of the y-pipe. That way I will have 3 different exhaust tones.

The Ws6 will get some HP mods too. I am going with a NX 150 shot, LS6 intake, Speed&Performance lid, RAM 910/402 VDS, and Moser 12 bolt!

Cool

Rob, Thanks for posting Hardee's on this website and taking pictures of me and my Scorpion Friends. We all do greatly appreciate it. I started the Hardee's cruise-in back in 1998 as an old car cruise-in, and as time pasted, the old car cruise scene diminished into dust at Hardee's by July of 1999 due to too many other cruise-ins. So then about July of 2001 came around and the infamous C5 Yellow Corvette incident happened at Annabelle's and summers got really boring after that, because every where we went to hang out, the cops would through us out. So then in the Spring of 2002, I went and talked to the managers of Hardee's and told them what problems we were facing just trying to hang out and talk in a parking lot. They said no problem. It wasn't until June of 2002, That I bought the car I always wanted growing up, A CAMARO SS. Then I started thinking how there was no Camaro things going on NE OHIO, everything is to the south at least 45 or more minutes away. So that is how the Hardee's F- Body Gathering started. By the end of this summer, I told everybody that I wanna see Hardee's overflowing with F-body's!!!! So Everybody, Come to Hardee's for a good F- Body Time!!!! Hi Brian, Chris, Steve, Rob, Denny, Bill, Chief, Iroc-Mike, Fatica Jr, Roller-Rocker Ralph !!!!!! P.S. Gary, I have seen you around but never got the chance to talk to you, so you should stop up to Annabelle's and Hardee's this weekend to shot the s*#@!!! See You Guys Later, 01SLPSS

Hopefully the weather will be good this weekend, not looking good tonight though.

Brian, whatever you do, do NOT get qtp cutouts. They are junk! I've had nothing but problems with mine. Get a DMH one, I've heard nothing but good things about them, trust me!!

Yeah, I've talked with them a few times. I've had to send the thing back 3 times since I've owned it and its not even a year old. First time was for an annoying rattle that wouldn't go away. I got it back and still did the exact same thing, so I sent it back again. Then about a month later the shaft broke on it, so I had to send it back for that. They had the thing about 3 weeks for a stupid shaft! Then I got it back and it started rattling again, so I fixed it myself since I knew those @ssholes there wouldn't do it. I'm not sure what DMH's website is, I'll take a look for you.

I really am shocked to hear that about your QTP. On LS1tech the QTP is better then sliced bread! The DMH unit looks like a quality piece though. Gary, do you know of a quality exhaust shop? Bobby told of about a place but I can't remember where it was. I think he said it was called Stainless Works or something. I want to get a quote to change my SLP LM to mandel bent true duals. I am just getting tired of the noise and RASP with my LM. Most of the time the loudness is cool but the rasp is getting old. I also want to get a MADMAN torque arm, but it won't work with a catback exhaust, only true duals.

Gary, are you getting a 12 bolt? If you are, I would strongly recommend a Moser over the Strange unit. The Moser unit has been proven to be a stronger unit. If you choose the Moser DO NOT GET IT ASSEMBLED! Moser absolutely SUCKS at setting up the gears. Everyone I know that got a Moser (assembled by Moser) has severe whining, I mean bad! Get the unit unassembled and have someone who knows what they are doing to set-up the gears and it will be sweet. My Moser is damn near as quiet as the stock 10 bolt was.

Directions to the Hardees in Willoughby

From the west side...90E to the rte 2 split, take rte 2E to the first Willoughby exit, Vine St, 640 East. The Hardees sign can be seen as you approach the exit so it's an easy trip.

From the south....271N to 90W to Rte 2E, 4-5 exits once on Rte 2 is the first of the Willoughby exits which will be the Vine St, 640E.

Hope to see you there Sunday around 7PM

Edit...Annabelle's, Saturday night

directions to Annabelles
which is just a few miles east of the Willoughby exit on Rte 2. Going east beyond the Willoughby exit, get off at the 615 exit of Rte 2, turn right at the bottom of the ramp, with Classic Chevrolet on your left, at the first light, turn left onto Tyler Blvd, one mile down the road, turn right onto Twinsbrook and Annabelle's is in front of you.

Hope to see you there as well, around 7PM is when the lot starts to fill up.

Brian, I really don't know of any good exhaust shops around here anymore. I took my camaro to Mr. Muffler in Painesville when I got it all done and they did an excellent job on it, but the dude who did everything doesn't work there anymore. As far as the 12 bolt goes, I'm definetly gonna get a Moser, but that won't be for a long time unfortunatly . I'm glad you told me about getting it unassembled, cuz I can just set it up myself. I've learned how to do rear ends this year and have already done about 5. I'm gonna try to make it up to Annebelles tonight but I'm not sure yet.

Hey Nick, hows it going? WELCOME to camaroZ28.com message board. Hardees had a good turnout yesterday. There were several 3rd GENs, a few Ls1s, couple stangs, some Lt1s, and even a 95ish Vette. Three of our Scorpion Cars were there, including mine. I went to spectate the AutoX at Euclid Square Mall. It was fun. Sure seems like that is a lot rougher on the car then drag racing though. There were some nice cars there but a lot of ugly (really ugly)2-3rd gen Vettes(race cars). There were a few Zo6s and several C5s. Also quite a few C4s(L98s, Lt1s, and Lt4s too).

I think I am headed to bed now. Talk with you all tomrrow. Bobby I have decided upgrade the suspension on the WS6. I am thinking about doing a suspension on the SS that will be a slight compromise between autoX and drag! I will let you know the set-up I decide on for both cars. I will post it up when I decide.

Goodnight all!

Brian,

I'm interested in getting one of those 3x5 decals and being a member. My time will be limited this summer but I will be able to make a few events and I am sure Jeff (JPolz) will want to come too. Do you have a picture or what they look like and what colors do you have? White please.

Torque converter is getting ordered this week so hopefully I will be able to see the 12s before the season is out.
