Inspection stickers suck, can anyone put them on straight?

I just had my first inspection here in PA and the monkey mechanic put the two stickers on extremely crooked and pretty far up in the windshield to where they are annoyingly in my peripheral view. It looks like crap. I complained and he said that it's my fault for having such a deep windshield. Well I saw the bastard put them on and he didnt even get in the car, he reached in from outside so of course he couldn't reach the bottom... There was no budging the owner though.

So is there any way I can get new stickers put on somewhere else by someone competent? I am in Lancaster county.

BTW I gaurantee if there had been a crack in the same spot the car would not have passed inspection because it is in the field of view- yet they are allowed to put big *** stickers there...

That's what they do. You should see the stickers on my Jeep windshield and my boyfriend put them there. I don't think the most important thing on their mind is getting the stickers as low as possible and as straight as possible. The police have to be able to see them as well.

I would guess the only way to get new ones put on would be to go somewhere else and pay for another inspection.

Well, I retract my above statement...

I just spoke to boyfriend and he said to call the state because they do have to be straight and within a reasonable range near the bottom of the window.

Good luck.

Sweet. I actually took a bunch of photos of inspection stickers while at carlisle to show my mechanic that he's an idiot and that they can be put on better- but if the state will help me out that's a lot better... Any idea who I should call exactly? i.e. which department!? Thanks a lot,
