Re: How bout them winter projects!

well,where should i start....

ever since i snapped the output shaft of the 4l60e over a year ago,the car has been gutted. Tubular front end, madman aluminum lca/phb out back,Tbraked th400 going in,383 is built, dfi is here, need a fuel cell, lost stock tank, run the fuel lines, wire the dfi, finish the cage, get motorplates, buy a new hood.....dear god...and somehow hope to have this all done by may 19th...

Re: How bout them winter projects!

Nothing major this winter, swapped the 9" for the 12 bolt that I wanted the other month and got that all installed and working right, that was my biggest project. Just doing some small things to it right now, some ES motor mounts and some other bushings. Getting a set of those new M/T drag radials and some new back wheels for the track so I can try some bigger launches. Still waiting on our new house and to move this spring so any big plans for the car are on the back burner until thats all done.

Re: How bout them winter projects!

well right now my car is sitting on jack stands in the garage waiting for me to get back to work on it. I just ordered a ton of stuff for it but no real go fast parts. I bought all new ultralite gauges and put the car on a "cheap" diet. Basically if its not helping in going straight or going fast its now sitting on the floor. I still have to pull the trans for a refresh and while its out the converter is going back to Yank for a cleaning/inspection and restall. I will be ordering all the parts to rebuild the 12 bolt I have (spool and going back to 3.73's) Hopefully when its all over I will have enough money to buy a new tq arm to replace my slightly twisted stocker . I hope to be able to try out some nitrous this year but it just depends on where I end up with all the other projects on the car and around the house.

I can't even begin to list everything but the car will look very much the same as last year but will be radically different inside. 1100+ flywheel hp and a full cage are about all I'm gonna say right now

You need to edit that post to say "A full cage w/ an unbent dash bar "

What has be all bent out of shape is you bought a product based on the pictures in the company's installation photo page. That clearly shows a bent dash bar, but not the one you received. It'll work w/out it being bent, but I'm guessing that dash is going to be "clearanced" a lot more w/ the unbent dash bar.

Later,

Steve.

thinking of pickup up one of the second gens down the street from my house.

gotta sell the '84 and if i get a second gen project it will probably be mostly body work and save save save for a crate w/ a warranty so i cant screw anything up too bad.
