If you major concern is being responsible for somebody else's car, just drop your collision and comprehensive. That way you will still have liability to cover any damage or personal injury to the other guy.

This might help. I don't know about race cars. My Camaro is a 95 and it is mostly for show and joy ride. As long as I keep it under a certain mlg a yr. I only pay 250 a yr for full coverage.

Guys,

Check out Grunds, http://www.grundy.com/, I have my TA and GN insured through them. Both w/ an agreed value of $15k and the premiums are very reasonable. Of course, no racing allowed, but they are not restrictive on miles. Call and talk to them, it might solve the problem of full time insurance, but will still allow you to take it to the neighborhood cruise.
