I'm going to post this here since I want to sell this locally. For sale is a Golen Engine Service built 383 LT1 shortblock. The block was Thermally cleaned and Stainless Steel Shot. Inspected by MPI process. Decked, bored, honed with torque-plates and pressure washed. Clevite cam bearings and pioneer brass freeze plugs installed. 4-bolt main caps and ARP main studs, Eagle cast steel crank internally balanced front and rear, Rods are Scat 4340 forged steel, 6” length, floating pin, pistons are SRP Forged Aluminum w/ Speed pro plasma-moly rings and have a -5cc valve relief, Clevite main and rod bearings, the block has zero deck height. This engine was built to handle up to 500 HP and 7000 RPM's! The shortblock is still new, has NOT been run. Cylinder heads and valvtrain were installed and was ready to go, but I decided to go with an LS1 swap so I've parted the engine out. The shortblock will NOT include the timing cover, waterpump drive, oil pump, and oil pan. ARP oil pump shaft is included. Recommended oil pump by Golen is a high volume unit. This shortblock will work for any year LT1 and is in excellent shape. I'm asking $1850.00 OBO, WILLING TO NEGOTIATE, no shipping. I need to sell this. wow, great price for a Golen short block. Golen does nice work to anyone who is intrested... Wouldnt be a bad thing to pick up even if your not going to use it right away. Thats a great price.
