end of an era

Re: end of an era
Still have the '97TA. Have to move the car to break the cobwebs in the wheel wells. Thought when the daughter graduated college and got a job I would have time to bring the 97 Trans Am back onto the road. Wrong! "Family" is still interfering. I'm hoping for a November run at E-town or Atco just to have track time in for 2012. ugh.

Re: end of an era
I guess I'm also one of the few who still have the same car. The formula followed me down on the trailer to south west florida. I got to take the car out a few times this season racing 1/8 mile. My life is getting back to "normal" and hope to be able to get back to racing on a reqular schedule.
Wow did the last 12 years just fly by?
Great memories of meeting at the turnpike reststop and invading E-town in force.
When Ron's only mod was his power coated alternator.
Getting pulled over following Project Z in E-town after racing at the track.
10 bolt rears being destroyed.
I stated that I would never put in a roll bar or convert the 6 speed to an auto.
The constant activity on the site.
Yes it is indeed an end of an era.

Re: end of an era
wow I guess I am still subscribed to this thread... I got an email and clicked the link and here I am again!
I'm still here but the car is long gone. I hope to someday get back into it. You will all be proud to know I didnt just put the money in the bank I blew every penny on more crap i dont need
Liz and I bought a 1990 29' Airstream. and then I bought a 2003 F350 crew cab 7.3 powerstroke to tow it. Now-a-days we go camping. Its something I can enjoy with the whole family. My wife was never into the car and my kids are still too young. Sam started Kindergarten this year and Mia is now 3. They love the camping thing!
Sometimes the end of one era is the beginning of another...
