Eastern PA F-Body Club

Ive searched the internet for a while and found there arent any f-body clubs in the PA area(other than NJ). So few guys on www.thirdgen.org have decided to try and get an F-body club together. And esp. since the fall fling had such a great success. It will be an Eastern PA thing but it may be considered a tri-state club, since we are all so close to each other. Feel free to browse the site:

http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/no...pa-f-body.html

Sorry I don't feel like re-typing everything.

Thanks,
Ryan

Yo man...
I don't feel like setting up a new account on the third gen board, so if you could pass the following info over to them that would be cool.

I'm the one that paid for, and set up, the final fall fling thingy. I also have a "97transam.com" forum that is just taking up web space. What I am saying, I have a forum area for us Eastern Pa pukes to use today and get started.

If you want to bust my gonads, I could set up your own special forum and host it. But I don't have the time to do graphic artwork. Plus if you want it "tomorrow"... I'm busy at a track for the next three saturdays.

onwards,
ron

What Schweet97Z said... we're getting close to 100 PA members, have our own forums, meet a couple times a month, are organizing our own cruises, and are home to the members of Street Lethal... THE MOTOR CITY

Like Ron I'm also on about 8 different boards and belong to all of the above mentioned ( CJCFO, NJFBOA, Motor City, Street Leathal, 97TransAm.com ( Hum, not sure I'd call the 97TA board PG13 rated ). Plus a few others so I'm really not interested in joining another board. But if you do put a club together keep things posted on the other boards as well. Both the Motor City and NJFBOA boards have event calendars and both clubs are always doing somthing ( but not allot in the Phila or Bucks county areas too often ). There are a few PA guyes from the Levittown and surrounding area on the NJFBOA board. At one time Justin had a PA section on there but it had such little use he deleted it. But post you ideas in these boards as well and you will get allot of interest.

A few years back this section had allot of action! It wasn't uncommon to have 50 TO 100 cars from here show up for racing or gatherings. Some of the infamous times such as the PA Power in the park and Ground Round night were simply outstanding. Plus 2-Speed Chick's AWESOME SULSA dip was always a big hit!
I would love to see the F-body core regroup!

John

Personally, even with my own board, 97transam.com/forums ... the reality of life is that the majority have settled between the motorcityforums.com, camaross.com/forums, njfboa.org and ls1tech.com/forums. It does get tiresome to make a post a dozen times. Also note, that the administration of such takes a bit of personal time. Then you need moderators for various sections, then technical people to help answer difficult questions...serioulsy. Not raining on the party, but we seen this idea a few times a year and only one or two have become permanent of a few years in the running. Kinda of like flying to the sun during the winter because it's cooler seems to make sense when first mentioned...

But I will still help if you need server space...

I agree Ron. I think alot of the F-Body crowd have grown tired of organizing the "club" approach to things. That's why we try to keep things as informal as possible, and just provide a forum for local car enthusiasts to meet and discuss their cars.

I agree. It will most likely just be a forum and gatherings once a month or so. We still don't even know waht we want out of it. We are still tossing around ideas.

I've been keeping my eye on that thread and poking ideas around....seems like they will have something up and coming soon. NJFBOA is always looking for more cool people to hang out with
