JD's prices for three pulls is outrageous. Same as SLP's ($175 IIRC), same as the shop putting one in here in Atco (guy flat out told me he's going to charge $175 for 3 pulls with W/B). Xotic is the way to go.
You are right for regular dyno pulls xotic is the place I know a couple of the guys there, Chris and Andrew, I have seen around and others there are cool too.. but I just thought it was funny telling people to go to Bryan and not to JD's where Bryan does most of his work!! They are expensive but I thought it was worth it for taking it to Bryan, but you are correct if you just did 3 Baselines that is a High price to pay.. But for Dyno tune I would go to Bryan, and if it turn out cheeper for him to come to your dyno then cool but I think it would probably work out better the other way.. Actually there is another board I am on, they are trying to set up a tuning sesion with Alvin from pcmforless @ xotic

Xotic has the lowest price of $75 and hour, and typically they will break that down to the 1/2 hour for a dyno day event. If we have more than 5 cars, he can lower the price. there is a $50 discount for current PCMforless customers. PCMforless mail order tuning is $50 a reflash, but that is without a dyno tune. This is all for Speed Density cars too. 93 and older. Bryan can come for your 94 and up guys, but i dont have any prices yet. Maybe we can get a small show/meet/other clubs involved. I am still waiting for a response from Xotic.

So it looks like new customers have to pay $275. That is pretty reasonable considering other mail order chips cost as much or more. I think this would be a good mid summer event. That way us member that are doing big modification to their cars can get them done. (Marlboro!! LOL) As soon as i find out from Bryan about 94+ cars i will add the info to this post.

Which board did you get the stuff from Alvin doing tuning?? I just had him up here at Xotic on the 12th for the third dyno tune day with him I've put together in the past year. Is someone else planning on him coming up here again soon??? He and I have been working pretty closely trying to get my one car running and he hasn't mentioned coming back this way to me yet.

OH, and by the way, just an FYI for ya, Xotic's prices are going up. I was talking with the owner Art on the 12th when Alvin and I were there with everyone else, and Art informed me that this is the last time they're going to do an organized tuning day like this under an hourly setup. It's now going to be either $1000 for 8 hours on a weekend, or $800 for 8 hours on a weekday. Still very fair and competitive prices though. Just thought you guys could use that info.

that was pulled from the event section of firststatefbody.com but the way the forum is setup I can't copy the direct link to the thread. But if you go to the events section and look for the sticky called "Fsfba First Dyno Day" you will see it there!

Re: DYNO tuning for LT1 in tristate area???

Hey guys,

Just saw this post.

I've got quite a few corvette guys in DE and PA looking for dyno tunes. one guy is pretty desperate as he just had a motor grenade on him. So that 2 right there. I was thinking about making anthor trip up there in late May/June.

Let me know if theres any way I can put together some support. Also, try using the forums on our website www.pcmforless.com.

Thanks!

I'll give you a buzz and talk to you about it. If my car isn't running right by then it's coming apart.
