Thumbs up Coming to NYC!!

I am heading down to New York for about 5 days, Oct 7-11, and was wondering what are some must see sights. I will be of course be going to see sites like the Statue of Liberty, Museum of American History and Ground Zero but I am still looking for other cool things to check out. I am also hoping Yankees are playing one of the nights I am there. Also do any of you people have any suggestions for clubs to go to?

We are looking at staying near Central Park any input on Hotels would be great.
I am looking to spend about $300 a night.

Re: Coming to NYC!!

nyc is a cool town.
the playoffs will have started when you get down here for your trip. i would suggest calling up the yankees or going to www.yankeees.com to get ticket info. the playoffs aren't finalized yet, so you will prolly have to get on a waiting list for tix, and they will be pricey.

later

Re: Coming to NYC!!

The HoJo's on 51stand 8th should be much less expensive plus actually have full size rooms..... You can very easily spend $300.00/night for a room the size of a closet in the city. See the empire state, walk central park. Nice jazz club on east side called the metropolitan, I think is ia around 90th and second.... Spend some time just walking around Greenwich Village, go to chinatown.... Millions of things to do in NYC.
