a bad dealer story!!

ok first off i HATE going to dealers, to me they are a bunch of liers and full of bs!!.....here's why

i took my car over to auerbach chevy on tuesday to have them rotate my tires and check the buck i have with my transmission. so around 11:30am i had a denist appointment right around the corner from the dealership, so after my appointment i decide to take a ride over to the dealership to see how the car is doing. you people have to understand that i dont' trust ANY dealer at all and now i'll tell you why. i pass by the garage looking for my car and i see a young guy driving it out of the garage so i figure the car is done.....right?? wrong!! he proceed's to floor my car out of the dealer parking lot and speed down the street in which at this point i'm a bit pissed off and decide to follow this a-hole!!

the guy proceed's to speed through every street he's on and i have a hard time keeping up with him in my mom's 97 gmc jimmy!. so this goes on for ten minutes and the guy notices that i'm following him everywhere he goes. i go back to the dealer and tell the service man at the desk that i'm pissed off that this a$$ is hot-rodding my car down every street in burlington city and that i'm going to call the service manager tomorrow to let him know about it. the service guy say's your welcome to call the manager anytime....i said in a nice way fine..your manager will be hearing from me VERY SOON!

so i call the service manager today and tell him about this a-hole driving my car and he told me that the guy driving my car said to him that i think the guy who own's this camaro ss was following me . i told the manager that yes that was me...he said that he would deal with the problem and that this will never happen again....fine problem #1 solved!

ok..problem #2 is that the car was never fixed right! he said the bucking in my car was due to the pcm being off because of my aftermarket add on's....slp exhaust and lid -filter change????? they said that they did a software change and that the problem is fixed......wrong!! the car is still bucking today!

i don't believe that that is the problem and the manager invite's me to test drive the car next time with him( the manager) in the car to find out what this bucking is all about....so the point is that everytime i go to the dealer i have a problem!!!!!!!!!!

if they could only fix things right the first time

For a minute there I thought you were talking about the dealer I work for

Not all dealerships are bad, however as an auto tech I can tell you that that kid shouldn't have driven your car that way. If I was looking for a "bucking" problem I wouldn't go driving around town at WOT. He was just having fun with your car and not really interested in fixing it, I know this because I was that way before I went on flat-rate.

With all the manufacturers cracking down on dealership about customer satisfaction and fixing it the first time, this time they'll take you seriously and look into the problem much deeper. My advise is when you take your car back be serious with them but don't be rude or an a-hole. And next time something happens like this don't ask for the service manager, ask for the owner if he/she is available, that always works at my dealership

Thats why 9 out of 10 times I stay and watch them. I don't trust them little ****ers either.

I would be looking for more then "I will take care of it" I would likely call the cops, the BBB, my insurance, the GM rep, and anyone else I can think of.

If I can't stay with it, and even when I do, I trip my trip odometer and write down my odometer readings.

I have basically gotten to the point where I am going to tell them, no driving unless I am behind the wheel other then putting it on the damn lift.

On a side note I am goign to be posting about tire pressures and the dealership adjusting tire pressure when they do this....I think I know why firestone tires fell apart surprised my F1s didn't.

Angry

...and then they pull / push the door shut with their big paws on the door body, or grab the top of the door because the window is down. Although the dealer offered to detail the car after a particuliar incident where it was also apparant that fender mats were not used, I politely refused saying that that would probably have the Zaino stipped off and looking allot worse than myself buffing off all the hand prints. I was only arguing for the principal of the matter, not looking for a detail job on a car that doesn't need a detail job...

Hey Eric, I think your next "Mod" show be one of those valet switches like in the vettes....

Remind me never to go to Auerbauch (spelling?) Chevorlet then. I work on McGuire, and it's close enough to the base. I would have had that kids job if I caught him doing that.
