Hey...can I use this on a mac lap top? I'm planning on using this on my 94 Z28,
believe it or not it's hard to find an OBD 1 cable in my town.

    Thanks

    Hey Gary,

I'm having some trouble getting my cable working - I followed your instructions - soldering RX/TX wires together and going to Pin 9 on the OBD2 connector and Pin 4/5 grounded. I'm using one of these chips:

I notice that the data lights will blink on the little PCB until I plug in the USB cable. Once the cable is plugged in, the lights stop blinking. The PCM won't sync with Scan9495 (or any other software).

I've tried a couple different chips - same result. Have you run into this before? What else can I do?

Hi, No I haven't ordered the CP 9185 yet, but it's reasonably priced from Amazon. Thanks again for good intel on these gadgets.

I don't know, maybe. The 2000 is a later year than this program was meant for, but it may be ok.

    Hi Gary,
Thanks for allowing us to get that OBD2 scanning software, I just downloaded it and will order the cable from amazon from the link you posted.
I have an LT1 with the 24x conversion, so it is running a 2000 camaro PCM. Will your scanning software work with this and does it show IAC counts? Right now I can monitor the PCM with a hand held autoxray but that parameter is not shown on my scanner. Thanks!

Hi Gary, really appreciate you sending the link to your scan software, it's my best shot at a good diagnosis. Can you please help me understand where I will find the misfire count per cylinder? Thanks Brother!

    Hi Gary,
I have been trying to get you 9495scan to work with no success. I checked all of the files and downloaded them in bulk and for some reason my computer wont open it. Im running windows 7 64bit. when I double click on it or try to extract it a message pops up and say, Windows cannot open the folder. the compressed(zipped) Folder is invalid. Is there some kind of program or other software I need to run your Program?

Thank you for creating this program and I look forward to using it.
