z28 vs ss
Re: z28 vs ss
I think the SS has the RS suspension package, better exhaust, ram air, SS spolier, and hood. I would think you would notice the differences more on a road course and not so much on the drag strip. The path the ram air has don't really seem too much like ram air as it does just a top mounted CAI. For looks of the way the ram air is, i would rather have a CAI, but I bet the ram air filter stays cleaner longer than my CAI
Re: z28 vs ss
alright thanks a lot. my car is a 94 six-speed. it has slp cold air induction and cat back exhaust with the cat removed. i could basically compete with the ss then? well actually i guess im starting at 275 rather than 285 but perhaps in the same ball park power wise. im adding bilstein hd shocks when i take the car out of storage.
thanks for the information

In retrospect, Z28=SS. The differences were already mentioned, but overall performance in each trim varies only slightly. You'll find some SS's perform better than some Z28's and vice versa.

FYI: The SS convert's did not receive the suspension package.

Not necessarily, there has been a lot of speculation about the type of suspension the SS has compared to the Z.
Re: z28 vs ss
same **** different pile
96-97 camaros had 10 more HP because of the dual cat system
SS's are much nicer looking..and a collectors item...but when it comes down to performance you might as well save your money and get a Z28...and put the extra money into mods and "decimate all" lol

Correcto
My car can beat any stock ss 97 down. It may keep up with a 98+ Z28 though
