getting hot isn't necessarily overheating.

What thermostat are you running?
Are your fans coming on?

Just a little help would be nice

What temperature are you seeing on the dash gauge when you feel its "overheating"?

Any car with electric fans gets hotter when you stop, because there is no air flowing across the radiator.

Info that might help you:

You need to include some basic car info in your post, as well.

Totally true. Just as Shoebox said, my car routinely gets within 25 degrees of the redline before leveling out. Its a huge engine in a closed space, and as soon as I start driving it goes way down. As long as you aren't hitting the red zone, and stops before then, you're prolly okay.
