Z06 MAF wiring

http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...79_34_full.jpg

I am 99% sure it says which wires reconcile with which on the sensor, but for the life of me I cannot see it!

I need to know which pins correspond the power and ground.

Took a look at a friend's Z06 and the wires on his harness are:

yellow - orange - black (white stripe) - IAT wire - IAT wire

Can someone verify that the yellow/orange/black wires reconcile with my yellow/pink/black wires?

Cool

Hmm, that's not what I thought I saw. I will double check though. I am 85% sure the yellow wire was on the outside.

Is it possible that link does not apply to the 2002-2003s?

Thanks for the link,
Ryan

Tried both ways to wire it and no luck...get a MAF code .

Is there a resistor that needs to be soldered in?

go to ls1speed.com, get their phone number and give those guys a call. They sell the Z06 conversion kit with the wiring harness adapter, so I am pretty sure they will be able to help you out. At least I would hope so.

I thought about this yesterday before I started, but figured they wouldn't be anxious to help me. We'll see...

Anyone have an idea before I call Ls1speed?

You sent me an email. I don't know any of the specifics of the wiring of the Z06 MAF.

Ls1speed could have been more helpful - I got the -buy the harness- vibe I expected to get. MTI was helpful. I'll post some results when I can work on it tonight.

Excuse my ignorance here, but I have never heard of using a z06 maf on an lt1. what is the benefit? is it bigger or can you install it with bigger injectors without ecu mods or what?

sik: To install a Z06 MAF (stock, GM part) you have to do a couple things. You have to solder in the new harness that plugs into the MAF, and you also have to recalibrate the pcm MAF Hz table. The benefit is that its larger.

Faceless - Do you have actual dyno info?

Update: The MAF I picked up was bad . Threw in one from an '03 Z06 and it worked just fine. Ordered a new one from Dal for $120. Not sure where you guys are getting them for 85 bucks - Maybe GMparts-we'll rip you off in shipping-direct? Maybe the $120 will include a new harness...

Thanks all,
Ryan

I personally don't have the dyno result...but someone posted that they had run it with a stock MAF and with a Z06 MAF and noticed a 4 rwhp gain between the two....and of course the more intake mods you have (cai, larger TB..even ported heads, cam) the more you'll gain...
