Im thinking about replacing mine and ls1speed.com and slp say it increases it up to 18. Anybody dynoed with it? They are just so cheap, it seems tempting to buy.

I think your wrong there, there has been proven to be gains. I was just checking to see if anyone had any dyno results. My stock MAF is going out. BTW, i dont need any smarta$$ remarks. Are you trying to bump up your post count?

The "gains" that have been proven are well within the "noise" or Varience of a dyno run...

The MAF is NOT an HP increasing Mod until it becomes a LARGE restriction in the intake duct, this typically happens after heads/cam/stroker/etc...

If you are looking for a REPLACEMENT then go for it, but I don't know about the LS1 speed version, I've heard some pretty nasty stories about it. And He is planning on Dynoing the LS1 Speed "Z06" MAF, and if he wants to he can even dyno with my GM Stock Z06/LS6 MAF sensor (I've offered)

You can replace yours with the GM unit, which requires an adapter cable, and reprogramming of your PCM. This is what I'm running, and have been for over 2 years.

you know you ask questions here and when someone gives you an answer you pummel them like when you asked about how much hp you would have with those mods and some said around 280-290 and you felt like you would have at least 320 or something like that well i ask did you ever get it dynoed i am still waiting for a dyno sheet ....also i have the zo6 maf and it gave me no gains stay with the stock maf the stock maf will flow more than the TB so that should tell you something there

unless you have a stroker or very wild heads/cam package, then you will not see any gains.

reason?

the stock maf flows more air than a bolt-on lt1 engine sucks in.

therefore its simple logic that the maf will not increase power in any way.

if you still think the bigger maf will increase power, then by all means waste your money on it.........btw, ive got some awesome stickers here that are dyno proven to add 50hp for ya.

ive read alot about how just porting the stocker will throw your blms right to 160. messing with the maf "SHOULD" have some pcm work to account for the new calibration. ease up on the personal attack. were all trying to help each other here.

Thats the answer i needed. Is there anywhere that i can buy just the stock ends with the screen on it b/c thats why i want to replace it. I think the p/p of the MAF messed up the a/f ratio. Thanks for the help
