z06 maf conversion initial thoughts

Well I got my Zo6 MAF/conversion in the mail today from http://www.ls1speed.com For thought of you who do not know, i had the low end rpm stumble, yea you know the stumble that you can FLOOR your car in 1st gear under 2000 rpm and it will fall on its face until it hits 2000 rpm and it will go side ways stumble Well besides the car being back to how it should be running, the zo6 maf seems to have kicked the throttle response up alittle bit as well has making the upper RPMS ALOT smoother. Down shifting her from 3rd to 2nd feels alot smoother as well. Now onto the issue I had. This SUCKER IS HUGE!!!! The Arizona Speed & Marine CAI I have has a farily large chrome (about 4" elbow) that connects to a filter. On the other end it connects to a maybe 8" long 3" wide rubber tube which connects to the MAF. Now, my pre-k school lessons were starting to come back to me "4 inch circle thing (MAF) into 3" circle thing (rubber tube)" NOT gonna happen, I fought with it for about an hour, heated her up, threw it on a bench vise to strech it out and no go!! SO, I went to the store that has it all when it comes to fbodies, yep Home Depot. I got a nice looking chrome adjustable 4" pipe put one end on the maf and the other end on the rubber tube. Sealed it up, felt for leaks, none found. BTW fitting the other end of that maf on the vortech elbow was VERY fun also. Any questions, lemme know, I will have a Datamaster run for you guys tomarrow to sink your teeth into. What you will look at in the log, i dunno, but lemme know if you see any physical improvments or if its just me going mad.
