Aluminum heads, in general, are a good thing. They save a bunch of weight and dissipate heat better than iron.

Give us more information and you might get a more useful response.

Since your 94 Z28 left the factory with aluminum heads, why would you want to buy a new set? Are they stock, stock/ported, aftermarket????????

Need more info.

ok now i need the block to go along with it

nah seriously you seem to be the only one awake here... heads on my z are stock and i was thinkin pick these up and port or just say fk it and go with the ls1 conversion

general premise of the post: would you buy it for the above stated purpose or just hold out for the ls1 to come along?

If I am awake enough to understand these random thoughts, you are choosing between 1) picking up another set of stock LT1 heads, so you can have them ported; or 2) doing an LS1 conversion???

Without knowing the budget and the ultimate HP goals, its hard for anyone to tell you.

This deteriorated into some name calling, and a foul PM to one of the participants. 2manyToyz has earned an infraction.
