zz9 cam with thier afr heads and spring rates. the only issue was the cam but what caused it?? cheap made cam (materials i mean) or to much spring for it. the rollers were the oem ones that came in my car. this is some sorry crap, i might have 40,000 miles on the cam if that. time for you TPIS customers to start checking your cams.

Betcha you got one that didn't get hardened right or something, TPIS cams have been running in alot cars over the years, if they had a quality problem across the board you'd think more reports of this would have come in. Is that only two lobes we're looking at in the pics or several shots of most of them, can't really tell? If it's only two perhaps the lifter retainer for those two screwed up and allowed the lifters to rotate sideways or something, I assume you would have noticed that on disassembly though...

ouch.. my stock cam did that on one of the lobes, not sure why.
