if you answered yes you might want to take a peak at this. www.putfile.com/jasonisdn
zz9 cam with thier afr heads and spring rates. the only issue was the cam but what caused it?? cheap made cam (materials i mean) or to much spring for it. the rollers were the oem ones that came in my car. this is some sorry crap, i might have 40,000 miles on the cam if that. time for you TPIS customers to start checking your cams.

Betcha you got one that didn't get hardened right or something, TPIS cams have been running in alot cars over the years, if they had a quality problem across the board you'd think more reports of this would have come in. Is that only two lobes we're looking at in the pics or several shots of most of them, can't really tell? If it's only two perhaps the lifter retainer for those two screwed up and allowed the lifters to rotate sideways or something, I assume you would have noticed that on disassembly though...

it was about 6 lobes messed up along the length of it . naw the lifters were fine and all moved freely. maybe it didnt get hardened good enough, i was thinking most of the installed cams are still in service and havent been checked or taken out for a rebuild yet. maybe it was mine and maybe a few others . i'll tell ya 1 thing i was pissed when i saw it. paid that much for a emissions cam and it looks like that around that length of milage. oh well the bearings looked normal on the rods and crank, normal wear and tear nothing terriable.
