Angry Yet again another optispark problem maybe?

Okay I'm really having some trouble with my 95 TA now. About 5 weeks ago my car sputted out at a light and died. Now I wasnt driving it at the time because a guy I knew was interested in buying it and was taking it to the dyno. But I got the car towed to my house, and after some investigating I concluded it either had to be something with the fuel or the spark. Looked in my book and sure enough it says either a bad fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, and many people have told me its my optispark. The car turns over but wont start. The engine is getting gas, so it has to be something electrical. I had a friend of mine who is the manager of a Eagle transmission do a diagnostic test and all it brought up was a dead battery error code at some point even though the battery aint dead right now. Any clues?

i didnt know there was a dead battery code

did you check for any burnt fuses?

to make sure it has fuel.. turn the car to the "ON" position and listen for the fuel pump humming. if it hums.. its working.

next pull off a spark plug and wire... while holding the plug wire with the plug attached so you wont shock yourself, have someone crank the car to see if you have spark.

Oh I forgot to mention yes I did all that, the fuel pump works and I even replaced the fuel filter just to be sure since it needed to be replaced anyway probably. Havent checked for spark yet the way you mentioned. About the code, I wasnt there when he did the test all he told me was he didnt get anything except for a reading that said something about the battery had gone dead at some point. But I've already jumped the car so its got some juice just can't start since all it wants to do is just roll over and not start.

My car died like that, there was this one time? At band camp?

Sorry.

I was driving, and all of a sudden the car just died. I tried to start it over & over, the engine kept turning over, but not start, it seemed to me that it was no spark going to the plugs...

Had it towed to a Chevy dealer, they said that they had to replace the "ignition module?"

Never heard of it, cost me about 200.00 bucks, but then the car was fine.

Well I'm really hoping its not something as expensive as either the ignition module or the optispark, don't have money right now. Its just trying to pin point what it is that annoys me, hoping someone on here has a clue.

I can't tell if you have checked for spark yet. If not, that is what you need to do.
