If u make sure that the wires arent touching the headers, then u should have no problems. Some people use simple ties etc to hold the wires away.

But on a side note, i would think about sending the headers in and getting them coated. Its well worth the money. Before u know it, you'll have the headers installed and will regret not getting them coated when u had the chance

if youre talking about how they look, i could care less, as ill be replacing them eventually anyway.

this is just a temporary setup for about a year.

as for reliability, they will still be good for a year or so right?

basically if you have at least an inch between the header and the plug wire.. it should be good coated or not coated.

Yep do the OVC wire setup and you will never have to second guess it. The TOTAL kit only costs like 100 and it gives you peace of mind that the job was done right.

I might be able to help you out. I purchased Accel 8.8 300+ race wires, taylor Opti-ends, and a mounting system for over the valve covers. I can't remember the name of the mounting system. It all new. I choose not to use due to my supercharger is in the way and I don't want to remove/replace it.

I'm not sure on how much I'd need. I can't remember how much I paid. Should be 50-75.00

does that mean you have to crimp measure the wires and crimp them yourself?

Yes you'd have to crimp the wires. They come with a crimp block. I like the performance of the Accel 8.8 300+ wires over the plain taylor's
