This has got to be an easy question to answer. However when searching I am findind extremely confusing answers pointing both directions.

They have factory hardened which are better than some years, but still not hard.

Same question for '96. I have searched and found a bunch of different years (only 94, 94-95 only, only 97, 94-97). It is pretty confusing. Did the '96s have hardened pushrods from the factory???

95's had hardened push rods; I've been running NSA Pro Magnum RR's and guideplates for 50K miles with no issues on my stock pushrods. 96's were not hardened. See attached reference:
