Question y-pipe?

Does anyone make an off road y-pipe for a dual cat lt1 car? I've been looking for quite sometime now. Back 2 oxygen sensors are not an issue. How much does it cost to have a custom y-pipe made?

best idea for the cost of a custom Y pipe is to ask a shop.

I have been quoted thats its hourly at 40 and hour, and got a guy that said 120. I'm going to take the 120.

also for a premade one check out tbyrne

mac, bassani, and stainless works (summit racing) makes some.

most are pretty pricey for the minimal gains.

i put a bassani on my 99z and noticed very little improvement

Stainless works aluminized unit from Summit is $199. I haven't gotten one yet, but I keep thinking about it. More for sound improvement than performance, but I figure it's got to be worth 10HP or more over stock w/cats.

I'll tell you what, if the stainless works stock replacement (offroad) Y is anywhere near the quality of their Y made for hooker headers , then I would stay away from it as far as I could.

The few people I've talked to that have gotten it say that it's an ok fit. A few said it fit perfect without any work, and several others said it took minor work to get it to fit good.

Yeah, I plan on being there. That will actually be my first time at the track with this car. If you can bring the stainless works pipe that would be great. I'd love to take a look at one in person.

I got my Y-Pipe from Stainless. It did take some work to get everything in, but it'll be gone in the upcoming months.
