....I'm not sure whether to go with the Borla 3" in/3" out 12" Mufflers or
the Borla 3" in/3" out 16" Mufflers {XR1's}??? What are the plus's/minuses

It just depends what you are going to do with it. I have a brand new 16 inch version for sale if interested. I need a 12 inch to replace my cat. The 16 inch would be better for a rear muffler.

 

i have the circular XR-1 muffler, and it Effing rocks!! what are your ultimate goals?

 

The 12's don't do much in the way of quieting things down. I run a 3" XR1 on each collector, with a 3" pipe and turndown in front of the axle. A bit quieter than open headers, but not a lot.

 

Thank you Bt96ss, Creative2 & Injuneer, I think I'll go with the 16"
version. I'm also planning to use the Dynatech Vortex Cone inserts.
This should quiet it down a little more, shouldn't it???
Bt96ss, I one I want to get is part number BOR-40944,
its the oval shapped one, costs $132.95 from Summit. What's the least

The one I have just so happens to be a Bor-40944 16" oval with 3" in and out. I will take $100 shipped.
