xe224/236 with 4.56s in over my head???

Just curious if im in over my head with that cam and those gears... i have the 4:56s already just trying to pick out a cam... was thinking the xe224/236, maybe even the cc306.. i have the xe224/236 sitting around so was plaining on seeing if its to little for them gears

4.56 will put you out the back door about 7100RPM's on 28" tall tires.That's shifting at 7000RPM's.That cam doesn't sound like it will make power that high,sounds more like a NO cam.What's the LSA & ICL?

the lsa on it is 114 +4 .502/.520....

That cam would be fine if the car were stricktly an 1/8 mile car. But in the 1/4 you will be hurting.

If you could change gears to at least a 4:10 or have room for a 30 inch tire it would help alot.

No prob, let us know how it runs. I just put that cam in my buddies LT1 (355 11.5:comp, six inch rods, home ported heads) its a 94 T/A that we have at 2930 (without driver) 3500 stall, and 3.73 rear gears (26 inch tall tire). We havent run it yet but we were wondering what kind of luck others have had with it, we are also planning a 200 shot of port wet nitrous.

i got this cam for cheap thats the only reason i picked it up, i dont know how others are doing with this cam and what #'s there putting out... just hoping for some nasty torque :-P
