XE cam dyno results

Back from the dyno, thought some of you XE owners might wanna know what my 230/236 112 put down with stock heads.

best run was:

340.4 RWHP @ 6000 RPM
344.6 RWTQ @ 4300 RPM

Time for some nitrious or heads.

Also some better headers, at least 1 3/4 shorties. What kind of numbers do you think i'd be putting out with some nice heads?

Any suggestions on what to get?

im gonna have to say try to get some afr heads, i have heard good things from them. hp gains, i would say anywhere from 20-50+ hp's dependin on tuning. or if u take the ehads to get ported i think u could ask them to match the port job to the cam u got, and while ur at it, u might as well get the intake ported too and now ur lookin at im sayin anywhere from at least 380 hp probly more.

Get a set of Jet-hot LTs or Hooker LTs . I bet you would be putting out around 350rwhp then . Then get a set of Advanced Induction full port LT1 heads. I bet you would be around 410rwhp then.

I think those numbers look good for what you have done.

Thanks,

If I had your mods I would be happy with the numbers. LT's and heads could bring your car to 400rwhp. But that depends how good of heads you get. With n2o you can go into the mid/high11's. Tuff call. Good luck

Those numbers look really good to me. So basically that's where I would be about with that same cam setup. Hmmmm

Looks good man. I should have some dynotuned numbers from my car sometime midweek. I'm hoping for very similar numbers.

My car definitly pulls hard since the cam install because i raced my cousin tonight in his 383lt4 that put down 368 on the woodbridge dyno. I started in third at about 3700 rpms with 3.73s, he started in 4th at 3000 with 4.10s. He didn't pull at all until the very end of fourth he picked up a 1/4 carlength. My tranny refuses to be powershifted into 5th so i just stopped there. Obiously his car is a lil faster but I was SOOO pumped because his car can stomp this other kid with a zz9 and heads. We were both really impressed with my car and the 218/224.

Dan, Is that an auto? I checked your site quick and didn't see any tranny references. Nice site

Thanks. Haven't updated site in a while. It is a 6 speed. After feeling how much difference the tune made, I'm sure the car will put down ~ 350rwhp.

Nice. I also have 3.73s in a M6. THats what threw me off though that it might be an auto. Did you do any other canges between the dyno of 288 and the cam instal dyno of 335? 288 was with dual cat SLP headers right?

The 288 was with shorties and the 335 was with the cam and LTs - gained 47 rwhp.

I just got a pcmforless tune and the car feels quite a bit quicker - I don't see it dynoing any less than 345.

When is your cam etc. going in?
