WTF? exteremly dissappointed...

Made my first run at the track yesterday. The weather was right around 50 degrees, track conditions were pretty good. I thought my car was in great running condition until after last nite. I THINK I HAVE THE SLOWEST CAR IN THE NATION FOR MY MODS

Here is my best Run:

RT - .752
60ft - 2.096
330 - 5.823
1/8th - 8.885
MPH - 80.11
1000 - 11.543
1/4 - 13.776
MPH - 101.29

WHAT GIVES!?!?! I was hoping for high 12s not high F***ing 13s.

I was on street tires, and i was beating other LT1s off the line that had stalls and drag radials and they were reeling ME in with a stock motor. I thought it would be the other way around? I'm so mad I'm thinking of selling the damn car.

Please help me troubleshoot some possible problems, thanx guys.

Your MPH and time is low for your mods. Who did your "custom" programming? maybe that is your problem.

Do you have a dyno? The chart could show any potential problems like a misfire and your A/F ratio.

I see you live here in Chicago area, what track did you run at?

I would do some dyno testing or data logging while testing. See if a good tuning would help. How many miles are on your engine do you think there is any problems?

We ran up at Union Grove.

My car has 77K on it, the cam went in about 1500 miles ago. during that time i replaced the coil + distributer cuz i was having some misses, the car ran really fat until it was programmed. After i programmed it, i thought it felt better, but i guess i was wrong.

- Well, your 60 foot times are about normal for a stock setup with a good launch. So I dont see how you were beating cars with stalls off the line, unless you mean RT. Were you hooking up the best you think you can or were you having traction problems?

- Is it possible your cam was not degreed correctly? Or was just stuck in according to the marks and assumed to be stright up.?
- You are using the 1.6 rockers from the cam kit right?
- I was told to try NGK TR55s by somone on this board and I did and thought it felt fine but late when I switched back to delcos I realised that they actually worked alot better. I wouldn't use NGKs unless I was spraying.

Hey man, sorry to hear about your problems. If you want, you could stop by my place sometime and I'll take the laptop and we could do a couple of scans to see what the problem is. I could also check your tune if you want.

I was thinking of taking my car to the dyno, but i dont want to spend a lot of money on that. I wish there was another way to diagnose the problem.
