Red face Wrecked Mybaby.. Plese help..

Well I totaled my 95 z-28 on my way home in the rain.. Lost traction at 85 mph, imagine that.. Anyhow, I am going to buy it back from the insurance company.. I have been looking for another camaro to put my engine tranny and carger in.. Can I use a 6cyl auto? They are cheap here... Do I have to use a v-8 car? If so how hard is the conversion?? Has anyone ever changed an auto to a stick? I just want a car I can put all my parts in, I finally got it right where I wanted it.. And being my car was in mint condition, well you get the hint.. Please any advice will be appreciated..

There has been many people putting LT1's into v6 camaros, and there has been more or equally enough people who have swapped out a T56 for a 4L60E or vice versa. Your best bet is to pickup another Z28 auto or manual (your choice), and drop your motor in it with the charger. How bad is your car messed up?

Best I can tell just the body is toast on mine, I thought the v-6 car had different suspension brakes..If not a v-6 5 speed car is ready availible. for somewhere around 2-3 thousand dollars.. What are the differences betweeen the two body'sand suspensions?

85 in the rain!!! in a Z28!!! what were you thinking must be crazy man. I lost mine at 70 just crossing into georgia on 75 spun twice looked out the back window had to do a quick opposite lock to avoid a light pole. ended up in the shoulder/ditch. I must have slid 300 yards. But heres the best part I drove it in the ditch for 100 yards or so and came up the embankment into the georgia welcome center. Scared the crap out of my wife. She was shaking and crying like a little baby, But not a scratch on the car just covered in grass and mud. and we were on our way to a funeral, could have been ours.

Crazy umm no.. I was just let down by a sorry desighn.. I loved the car, dont get me wrong.. But come-on.. Everyone knows Dont drive the cars in the rain. wtf is that all about? I want a car I can drive all the time.. Fast, slow, whatever.. Whats the use to make killer horsepower.. If you cant get it to the asphalt? The camaro is a killer ride, But let me say it this way.. I just bought a vr4 and intend on putting it in the same horsepower range.. Not only will I have the awd, I will have aws.. And what better than TWIN TURBOS? wooo hhoooooo bring on the rain.. lmao..
I loved her, hate to see her go.. But I am all for improving.. I didnt slide, I just walled it.. hehe

Nawww man not trying to rag ya or anything like that, I just know better after 20 years and about a half dozen f-bodies, the rain is the enemy. Before that it was 2 wheel toys, another bad deal in the rain. The stealths are an awesome vehicle too. throw a bad *** turbo setup on them and they flat out fly. But nothing is gonna save ya at 150. Its not speed that kills...its the sudden stop.
