Wow!!!!
This reminds me of a certain member, who said after long tubes they could go sideways in every gear, with an automatic. Sorry, with over 400 RWHP I had no problems with traction at 80 MPH, even hammering it in second (stock rear 3.42s) and taking off fast I would not break the tires free.
Yoko AVS Intermediate 255s, Koni DA 600# fronts, 140-160# rears.
You either have a problem with the car, or are fantasizing
BTW I know of a car that can do this, with a TH400, it runs 9s and has roughly 1000 HP, and 80 MPH is roughly when the burnouts stop.

maybe i am hearing
a belt slipping.............but i would like to know if my trans it not doing good..................i was just making sure that is normal.
and as for the post about that i am a high school kid that thinks i have 1000hp...........you need to not have such a steriotypical attitude towards high school kids..............and no i dont have 1000hp..............i have 285
...............so as in my normal reply. Sorry for saying "break loose".......i guess we all have different terms for that saying......i just mean chirp a little. thanks

A "chirp" huh? Does the car have a shift kit? Did someone stick a programmer on it and change shift points or firmness? Is there one of those SLP shift modules on it? BTW with Firehawk SZ50's and a relatively stock engine, I would be looking into tranny slippage, or clutch bands. My Z doesn't even bark at 80 and I have the BALD A** Goodyears that were on it when I bought it (it does do a mean a** burnout from a standstill though).

Automatic trannies dont seem to take well to high speed runs, but they just dont plain last forever either. Maybe if you gave up 100HP and threw in a TH400 you wouldn't have to touch it till you started making big power, I'll stay with my stick and clutch setup.
i never said i was getting sideways in second.......i was just wondering if yalls tires slipped a little..............sorry for all the controversy that i have started........................................... ..............................oh and to reply to the post about my tempo.......i do that just keep from racking up the miles on the camaro.....thats the only reason
...and i have it, so why not drive it (it only has 46k on the clock).....and the camaro has 72k......so ya know
anyways........and i you can put your bs flag down, because all my friends can attest to the tires breaking and spining at 40mph (not spinning enough to put me sideways, but they do spin.......and i never said that i ever got sideways so i dont know how you came up with that).......they only chirp a little at 80 (unless its a belt that im hearing, as someone stated earlier)
