would you buy it?
would you buy it?
i am new to camaro's and lt1's but i am looking at buying this car Fri. it is a 95 z28 automatic with the following mods
Edelbrock long tube headers
Jasper Class II Performance Heads
Jasper LT1 block bored .30 over
B & M Torque converter
XL Fuel rail
High flow fuel pump
Meziere Enterprises electric racing water pump
K & N Cold air intake
Granatelli Mass Air Flow Sensor
TPIS Throttle Body Air Foil
3" Exhaust pipe
Hooker muffler
It's got some rearend work but I don't know the specifics
NOS Dry Kit installed with 125 shot currently installed
New set of Toyo Proxes 2 months ago still passes the quarter test
New Alarm system
New Heater Core
New Thermostat and coolant hoses
New set of plugs
MSD Wires and Blaster Coil Pack
MSD Distributor
the car has 16x,xxx miles on it and the motor is said to have been rebuilt a little over 5000 miles ago but there is no proof. it also needs a valve cover gasket. all i am looking for it to do is last 6-8 months before i can put some more money into it. what would you pay for it? one thing that i did notice is it seemed liked the rpm's went to 8500-9000 before shifting? but when it did shift it sqwacked the tires in all 4 gears

I wouldn't touch it unless the seller agreed to me doing some of my own poking and prodding like an oil consumption and compression test.
Basically I'd never buy a heavily modified car.
And here's a big ol' red flag:
And he's high if he thinks he can get any kind of money for no proof.

Think of it this way if your only giving him 2900 for it that could be 5-6k after you buy the car in repairing and fixing things that he didnt. The car is too modded, no proof of anything its your 2900 and if your really like the car then go for it but its a risk you take everytime you buy a used car atleast have a mechanic check it out. I would buy one that has not been modded that much and just be patient the right one will come along.
i will definately have the shop check it out. he is selling it because he has a 10month old girl and he wants to get a newer v6 camaro. should it be shifting that high though? and i am a little worried about the fact that he was using a dry kit on it
