Would a timing chain clearnace problem cause a power loss??

Hey,

The car seems a bit down on power since the heads/cam swap, and I noticed a weird noise from the engine bay, besides the damn rockers. It sounds like it could be the timing chain hitting the front cover, even though I already spent hours clearancing it for the stupid Cmotorsports double roller chain. WOuld something like this cause a power loss? The sound is always there during idle, and sounds like something is slightly hitting every rotation, and the area of the timing chain would make sense.
Thanks,
Brandon

If it was a tooth off on the cam sprocket, then yeah, but just rubbing on the cover, I would not think so.
