Would these mods be worth it?
Would these mods be worth it?
ok i am putting the lt4 hotcam in my car with the 1.6 RR and all that as u all probabley already know. i am in the process of buying LT pacesetter headers and a decently sized stall converter which are all very obvious things i need. but i wa wondering if a 58 mm Throttle body and some bigger injectors would help at all?
Re: Would these mods be worth it?
58mm is too big, a 52mm will be fine. And you'll have to get your intake ported in order for a 58mm to function correctly. If you wanted to you can install 24lb/hr. I don't know if you already know. You're going to need a tune as well.
Re: Would these mods be worth it?
wouldnt do injectors unless you absolutely need them...but i have some 30's i'm looking to get rid of or trade.
if you really want "bigger injectors" then just get an adjustable FPR and a new fuel pump. the injectors are rated at a certain pressure...increas the pressure and increase the flow rate. the injectors on a ls1 are 28lb injectors and the ones on the lt1 are 24. they are the same injector.

97's came with 24's. you could go with 28lbs ford svo injectors.
You don't have too switch, unless you are planning to upgrade beyond this.
BTW adjustable fuel regulators suck! they are a constant battle to keep the pressure you want.
TB wise, 52mm is ok, but anything larger you will have to open up your intake inlets to make this mod flow to its full potential. Stock inlet size is 52mm.
The most important mod you can do to this car to run at its best is to get it tuned. You will have a rich running pig in the end if you forget.
