I was wondering what kind of power I could expect to get from just installing the 1.6 roller rockers instead of the hot cam kit.

 

I was wondering about that too if anybody knows.

i did that and there was alittle diff, was some but not much. it does change the tone some. i did it due to the money at the time and i wasnt sure on the cam, so i would say it wont give u want you want if you are wanting the big diff of a cam.

 

1.6RR's and LT4 springs are good for about 10RWHP IMHO, I have them. Plust the engine does not peter out as bad above 5.5K. Just pulls harder in the higher RPM's. I reccomend them.

 

Does GM have just the 1.6rr kit avalible or is it only avalible with the cam?

 

i'd just get a cam and 1.6 rockers if it were me. the GM 847 cam is supposed to be good...i have a cc306 and am not quite satisfied with it...shoulda gone bigger.

you really wont benefit from just rockers. it helps add power from other things like TB and headers...cam...whatever. just them on a stock engine...10-15. them on an engine with intake/exhaust ported heads and a cam, maybe upwards of 30.
