Would I benifit from computer tuning?

Mods in sig, plus gutted cat, lt4 km, and thats it. I'm thinking of doing rocker arms next, and I was wondering if any tuning would make a difference? Or should i wait until i get a cam? But that wouldn't be until the spring. Oh, its an M6. Thanks-Rob

If you have access to a competant tuner, go for it. A guy that tunes locally here in Cincy dropped half a second off of someone's quarter mile times after programming. No tricks, no nothing...just reflashed it after a run and sent him right back down the track 20 minutes later (and a half second faster!).

If you have to pay for each tune, go ahead and wait for the cam since you'll want a new program anyways. If he'll agree to retune it later for free, go ahead and get it done now.

My buddy picked up 3 tenths on a new program from pcmforless. You could do it now if you really wanted to, but if you plan on doing mods in the near future and there are no free reprograms, then I would wait till you go bigger. That's just my .02

If its an A4 you can play with the shift points some....other than that I would say no.

I think tuning is always a good idea--but not necessarily if you're looking for the "best bang for your buck". I had my tuning done through PCMForLess and noticed some nice gains with very few mods. To me it was worth having the tuning done--plus I have unlimited updates which makes it convenient should I decide to change my setup.
